Only app updated today was microsoft's feedback hub for me. In case this does not work, the next solution is to quit and relaunch the facebook app. If notifications still don’t appear, try reinstalling the app.
Drag the facebook app card up to close it.
Go back to notifications, mobile push, and now you can check and uncheck the boxes and the changes will be saved. Looks like is now working on both my iphone 5 and ipad 4 running ios 7. If it is the facebook app that is not loading on your device, the first and very basic thing you can do is close the app and then relaunch it from your app drawer.
