Espn App Roku Buffering. Yeah roku, fire stick, android tv and my phone have all been buffering and/or have terrible image quality lately with watch espn. Its not just you, it appears to be an issue (the choppy video exactly as you described it) that started happening (espn app on roku) fairly recently.
If many devices are streaming videos or using the network at the same time, you may run into some buffering issues. Thank you for your feedback! If your roku keeps buffering and you can't stream video effectively, there are a few ways you can fix it.
Before viewing anything, go to your device(s) sling tv app settings/connection speed, select 1.2 or 2.8 mbps (post #2).
Funny cause on my phone it’s flawless but ps4 firestick roku and smart tv app they lag and quit on me often. Exit out of the youtube tv app, and then reopen it. That includes the spectrum app, netflix & prime tv apps. I’ve done all the changes recommended by roku ( including reducing the bitrate).
